Animatic

So far my animatic has gone quite well i did a quick practise version to get used to the amount of movement needed and he time for each frame to be displayed. The basic idea was to simply follow each frame to show the story but i decided that on the frames where i had intended there to be a zooming effect that i would use the stop motion technique to increase the size of the object frame by frame which i think worked quite well. So the video side of the task is complete with just some minor edits to make and hen add the sound.

The sound was actually quite a hard decision to make as i originally wanted peaceful music to show the graceful butterfly side of the quote and the a more upbeat track and possibly some sort of bee sound effect for the end of the animatic. After searching and searching for sound of bees and even trying to record my own i found the sound too out of place and annoying to use. If i had longer that 2 days to work on the project i think i could edit together a sound the would fit all parts of the video. Currently i think i will use one of the acoustic tracks form "Foo Fighter - In Your Honour"

Chris Ware style Storyboard

With the task of creating a final design for a storyboad ihave decided upon a grahical responce to the task by creating a storyboard in the style of Chris Ware. After looking at some of his work I Found that he had done a piece that involed a bee.

I like the way in which Chris Ware tells a story going through time by the layout style he uses. The little off shoots seem like they would be a usefull way of showing some of the chages in detail of the butterfly to bee. I like his Style of block colour vector images but for the moment i will keep with my hand drawn images but if i take it any further i would like to try and include that in my work.
